Add this vintage Stanley No 36 Boxwood Folding Rule to your collection.  Printed on one side is 'Stanley Rule & Level Co.  New Britain, Conn.' and on the other is 'No. 36.'  It is a 6 inch, 2 fold ruler made of boxwood and brass.  It has a brass caliper at one end.  Inside the caliper track are the letters AELLER, presumably the former owner's name.  The brass has a natural patina and the wood has been darkened by age and use. Note the surface irregularity on the caliper end.
